He has sub-specialized in regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks).
Graduating with Honours from the University of New South Wales in Sydney in 2003, he completed anaesthetic training at St George Hospital, a large tertiary centre providing surgical services in trauma, cancer care, obstetrics and paediatrics. His first fellowship was completed at Concord Hospital and he was awarded his FANZCA (Fellow of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Anaesthetists) in July 2013.
A second fellowship was completed at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada, which has the largest trauma and cancer care centre in Canada.
